… a gallon, gargle, or fish and chips at Kaiaua eh Knobsta?
This event is run by the motorcyclists of the Auckland branch of the Vintage Car Club. Assemble at the Jolly Farmer from 9.30 onwards for a departure at 10.30am. You can proceed direct to Kaiaua on your own route or alternatively join in for an organised ride out with a prepared route sheet which usually takes riders out through the back of Bombay. It is a good ride and with the weather that we have been experiencing hopefully an enjoyable one. Most of the motorcycles that attend are ’50s upwards however there are usually a few girder machines to ogle at. With the Hamilton, Thames and Tauranga classic riders joining up at Kaiaua motorcycles can total upwards from 80 to 120. Return is at your leisure with most of the Aucklanders choosing the scenic coastal ride up through Orere and Clevedon.
Might see some of you there.
