1915 Excelsior V Twin Sales Pamphlet.

A Colonial sales leaflet for Australian and New Zealand advertising the American Excelsior Model 15-3. Specially designed and constructed to meet Australia and New Zealands needs it was claimed as the most reliable Auto Cycle. What would Harley Davidson have thought at the time? Described as “the design is most graceful” how successful was the advertising department? Must have been reasonably good as there were a few at vintage rallies in the 1970s and 80s in New Zealand, even after 60 years.

A great advertisement from February issue of The Motor Cycle announcing the arrival of the new arrival of the American Excelsior with a 3 speed all chain drive. And you could purchase it from London dealer Harris and Sons for just £75.
