A well used but very fragile manual that is definitely best shared with the rest of the world by scanning. With the owners name of E Firness? Petone 2/1/28 and 4/11/32 scribed on a couple of pages it is a very detailed manual and with the additional hand written notations from the original owner that may add even more value to the publication.
This was the last year of the flat tank models before AJS introduced their new saddle tank models and for me the OHV K6 would have to be one of the handsomest machines from that period. With its impressive looking engine 3.49hp (or 500cc) engine the K6 was such a machine that competition was in the thoughts of those from AJS as the last page has Hints and Tips for Hill Climbs and Speed Events. The usual sections of maintenance include the adjustment and fault finding of the Binks 2 Jet Semi Automatic Carburettor, and vernier adjustment for the magneto timing.
It is a great handbook with information and common sense instructions on how to ride most vintage 1920s OHV and side valve motorcycles.
